A good organic way to get rid of a range of pests including Aphids, caterpillars, thrips, white flies, mites is a soap/water solution.
Use a soap that doesn't contain detergent or caustic soda. Mix the soap and water until the water turns milky like froth. Spray the plants and let the solution sit for a day before rinsing.
That will kill most pests without harming the plants or environment.
The soap paralyzes the pests which will cause it to starve to death.
For mites and mildew mix half milk/water solution and spray that onto your veges every few days is a good trick also.

My Greenhouse
Since I currently rent a property and don't have the ability to dig up and make a garden bed I decided to get a couple of Greenhouses from Bunnings for around $100 each.
I had to modify them both with adding vents in the greenhouses for airflow using fly screen a Stanley knife and some Glue.
I also put a thermometer in each to check the temperature on hot days.
I was having problems with Butterflies laying eggs on my Cabbage, Cauliflour and Brussel Sprouts.
Since i moved the plants into the greenhouse I dont have that problem anymore :)
Here is a couple of pics and I will go through the herbs veges and flowers I have growing in future posts.
All are edible.

Tomato, Zucchini and Egg plant.
Tomato plants in the bag are thriving and the other one has zucchini and egg plant in it. Ill take another picture tomorrow as the zucchini are flowering. The only problem i have come across with them is a few Aphids on the eggplant now and again.
My First Tomato Plants
Here is my first attempt at planting tomato plants just after I planted them.
I haven't had any problems yet although it has been really windy and I needed to tie some branches with twine.
This pic is after about 3 weeks, Still all going well :)
